"There are going to be three meetings in here talking about homelessness, dealing with homelessness. All around them are people who they likely would never notice. Dozens of people were seated inside of ArtRage in Syracuse Tuesday. If future exhibits are as good as this one, I would be likely to return if the subject matter is something that interests me.SYRACUSE, N.Y. I can't say whether other exhibits (they change every few months) would be like this. This particular exhibit would have held the interest of older children as well as adults. The exhibit I saw was well devised, with a nice combination of exhibit cases with unusual items to view and read about, a variety of videos (you could spend a long time watching them), and best of all, a good number of hands-on activities. I could easily have spent an hour to an hour and a half here if I fully utilized all the interactive exhibits. My visit lasted about 45 minutes, but I could have stayed a lot longer if I didn't have to leave to meet someone. The normal adult price is around $12, so it is moderately priced as mall entertainment venues go. I visited late in the day and learned that the last admission is at 8:30 PM, even though anyone in the exhibits may stay until 9:30 PM. It's really one fair sized room that serves as the exhibit space, so it isn't huge. The Muzium is in Destiny USA mall on the third floor of the canyon area, and it is handicap accessible. My review here reflects this experience I can't, of course, say whether future exhibits will be of similar quality. I visited The Muzium when they had a Rubik's Cube exhibit, and I thought it was nicely done even though I'm not a huge fan of the puzzle myself. While there wasn't a huge amount on display this time and the outdoor areas of the museum could use more upkeep (and clearer paths to the entrance), this is a pleasant, fairly quick stop with space for folks to spread out and enjoy what's there. The museum also evidently hosts community programming and provides gallery space for that art. There is a welcome focus here on ceramics and abstract art.

While we were there, admission was free (though donate anyway!), perhaps because the upstairs was closed off - resulting in only a relatively small amount of art visible in two small galleries off the main floor (which also houses a nice gift shop), and a couple more galleries downstairs. While Everson is more traditionally brutalist, the sunny central lobby and with branching smaller gallery spaces produce open and airy feel, ensconced by concrete reimagined. Pei designed art museum - the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in DC. This museum's building geometry, materials, and spacing reminds one of another I.M. It was recommended to me (when I called) to bring outside food. Parking is available at a $5.00 charge behind the museum, through the tunnel, in a parking lot, or you may be lucky to find on street parking.

Our 5 yr old chose the dinosaurs, which was a group of adults on an expedition, and he was soon bored with the adult level of the show. Speaking of which, it was a choice between Dinosaurs of the Antactic or a Planetarium type movie. There is an area to eat in, sadly they dont sell any real food- only a vending maching for drinks and one for snacks (candy, chips, etc.) There is also a "concession" stand with candy to purchase for the movie. The kids enjoy the kids exhibits- especially the multi story maze, with slides, tunnels and climbing stuff. Sadly, there are also many exhibits that didnt work or were broken. There are many fun hands on exhibits, with some downfalls. This is a very nice interactive science museum for kids, (adults will also enjoy it).
